Patrick Smith
ORCiD: https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5575-4895
Patrick received his B.S. in Chemistry from UC San Diego where he performed undergraduate research with Prof. Joshua Figueroa. He completed his Ph.D. with Prof. T. Don Tilley at UC Berkeley, where he studied unsaturated interactions between group 8 and group 14 elements. Patrick was a Beckman Postdoctoral Fellow with Prof. Yogesh Surendranath at MIT. He is currently researching molecular quantum materials based on organolanthanide and organoactinide complexes.
Bianca Schacherl
ORCiD: https://orcid.org/0000-0003-4542-0108
Bianca Schacherl received her BSc in chemistry from Universty of Konstanz, Germany before she started her MSc and PhD at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany on “Advancing actinide high-energy resolution X-ray absorption/emission spectroscopic tools”. She explored several directions of radiochemistry during research stays in Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, the Joint Research Center of the European Commission, and Los Alamos National Lab and joined LBL in 2023 for a joint Post-Doc with the Minasian and Abergel groups.
